SEMANA SANTA 2010
It has been our church tradition to have a church-wide activity/event during the Holy Week. In the past, we used to have CHURCH CAMPS, but we later decided to only have a one-day event instead because of the very heavy financial requirements of such events. The Holy Week is fast approaching and we need to make a decision on what to do for this year. Your suggestions will be the basis of our Holy Week Celebration this year. To jumpstart your suggestions (and your creativity) the following have been suggested:
HOLY WEEK:
April 1 – Maundy Thursday
April 2 – Holy Friday
April 3 – Black Saturday
April 4 – Resurrection Sunday
Suggested Setup:
1. One day activity at the beach, food is potluck, fare, entrance, etc. is KKB.
2. Two-day (overnight) activity at the beach, food is potluck, fare, entrance, etc. is KKB. Members will have the option of staying overnight or going home at 5:00 p.m.
3. Two-day activity: one day in church and one day at the beach. Food is potluck. Fare, entrance, etc. is KKB.
Suggested Activities:
1. Praise and Worship, Seven Last Words of Christ (whole morning), Fun and Games (whole afternoon), plus swimming. A more serious Holy Week Celebration.
2. Praise and Worship, Two Sermons/Messages regarding the Holy Week, Fun and Games, Swimming. A lighter Holy Week Celebration.
3. Praise and Worship, Devotional, Fun and Games the whole day, plus swimming. A very light church outing (cannot be properly called a “Holy Week Celebration”).

1. Alobijod
2. Sunrise
3. Other Guimbal beaches
